How To Take Your Measurements
Hi lovely readers!
You order clothes online just as I do and sometimes you wonder which size you need to take and when you look at the tab, you feel lost.
I got your back! Today, I will explain and show you how easy it is to do it. We will talk about how to measure your body size for tops, dresses, and bottoms.
I never look at what the model is wearing as I am not a model or a plus size. I do a 38 ( French size) or Medium.
To start, you need a tape measure. Take a piece of paper, a pencil, and open the size guide tab.
I will show you an example with Reformation. I will use both cm and inches.
Let’s start!
So here is a list of what you will measure on yourself:
- Bust: Place the tape under your armpits and across the fullest part of your chest
- Back: Measure it just under your boobs
- Arm Length: Place the tape at the top of your shoulder to your wrist
- Waist: Measure your belt level, your natural waistline
- Hips: Place the tape at the wider zone of your low hip and across it
- Leg Length: Measure from under the belt to the ankle
Tops
So for tops, you only need to measure your arm, the length of it and the width. If needed you can measure your waist, your bust size, and your back.
Dresses
For a dress, I only measure my waist, sometimes my hips as well. But you can do your bust and back as well.
Bottoms
For high-waisted bottoms, you need to measure your waist, hips, and length
For other bottoms, you only need hips and length.
