Today I want to talk to you about It Bags. I love accessories, especially designer ones because I know the quality of it. As I told you in my very first post, I went to Fashion Design school in Paris and during my last year, I focus on Accessories. I designed bags and shoes but jewelry and wallets as well. We had the chance to visit some factories, had to buy our own leathers and other supplies to make our bag and shoes. It was really enriching. It completed my previous year, I took a year off to do internships in accessories brands, I learned so much!
Ok, enough talking, I am going to tell you all about It Bags!
Let’s do it!
What is an It Bag?
It is a bag created by a High Fashion Brand and became a classic and will never be has been. You can easily recognize an It Bag, it has details and the model is very famous. Brands decline this model every season, you can buy the classic or buy the new it season one.
Now, which brands have an It Bag:
Chanel: 2.55 created in February 1955 and Boy in 2010
Hermès: Kelly created in 1935 and Birkin in 1984
Chloé: Paddington created by Phoebe Philo in 2004, Faye in 2017 and Aby in 2019
Yves Saint-Laurent: Monogramme was created in 1961 and Chyc in 2011
Givenchy: Antigona was created in 2011
Dior: Lady Dior was created in 1995 and Saddle in 1999
Céline: Luggage Tote was created in 2009
Gucci: Bamboo in 1947, Jackie in 1961, and Dionysus in 2015. Zumi was inspired by an old model from the ’60s
Balenciaga: City was created in 2000
Fendi: Baguette was created in 1997 and Peekaboo in 2008
Prada: Galleria was created in 2007
Valentino: Rockstud was created in 2011
Goyard: Saint Louis in 1930
Louis Vuitton: Speedy in 1930, Alma in 1934 and Neverfull in 2007
